Max Bell School of Public Policy

The Max Bell School at McGill University invites applications for an MPP Professor of Practice in Public Policy for Juin term in 2025-26 academic year. The position is open to an experienced practitioner in all sectors, regions and areas of public policy. The ideal candidate will be a recognized policy practitioner with a history of accomplishment and with capacity to engage in the activities of the School, particularly the School’s Master of Public Policy (MPP) program.
This is a visiting position with a starting date of June 15, 2026 or later. The appointment is ordinarily for a one week or more in the term (fall, winter and/or summer), although this is negotiable. The position carries a stipend, commensurate with qualifications, the level of engagement with the School, and the duration of the appointment.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate fully in the academic life of the School and be present in the School for the majority of the appointment. The candidate may mentor students, deliver workshops or webinars, or deliver public lectures.
Applicants must upload a curriculum vitae and a letter of intent indicating the preferred dates of their visit, and summarizing their activities and objectives while at the School. The names and contact information of at least two referees must also be provided.
A review of applications will begin May 11, 2026 and continue until the position is filled.
