You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How You Will Contribute You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

More About This Role Role Summary

  • Check Bills of Lading against Purchase Orders for quantity, delivery date and specification number for all inbound shipments of inventoried and non-inventoried items and thereby authorize disposition after said verification.
  • Off load finishing supplies and raw materials.
  • Shipping finished goods

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe operation of equipment/work center and achieving standard output requirements.
  • Responsible for product identification such as lot numbers and work order numbers.
  • Able to cross-train on other shipping and receiving processes
  • Effectively participates in group activities through effective communications and overall group performance.
  • Engage in IL6S activities including Daily Management Systems, pillar membership, work process ownership and AM activities
  • All other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
  • Check Bills of Landing against Purchase Orders for quantity, delivery date and specification number for all inbound shipments of inventoried items and thereby authorize appropriate disposition after said verification. Write appropriate receiving reports.
  • Deliver "received" non-inventoried items to appropriate departments.
  • Maintain filing systems for all purchase orders and related paperwork transactions with regards to outside storage and material returns.
  • Responsible for monitoring the unloading of all bulk raw materials, i.e. glucose, glycerin, and high-test glucose ensuring all materials are delivered to the correct tanks. Also responsible for inventory control of bulk raw material. Deliver physical sample of glycerin, high test glucose to Quality Assurance for approval.
  • Responsible for shipping of finished products and documentation
  • Responsible for running of the auto-palletizer for shipping processed/finished goods.
  • Always maintain standards of housekeeping and security in the receiving and warehouse area.
  • Distribute Receiving Reports on all daily transactions to appropriate departments.
  • Communicate deviations from standard practice to supervisor in charge.
  • Load rejected finished/unfished goods on trailer & process documentation.
  • Maintain truck logbook.
  • Arrange for pick-up of pallets.
  • Sugar silo recirculation.
  • On-load cardboard bails.
  • Arrange for courier shipments from all departments including the completion of appropriate documents to ensure efficient, accurate delivery of packages.
  • Observe all safety rules, practices and procedures in performance of duties.

  • Hand Truck
  • Desktop Computer
  • Radio Frequency Gun
  • Intermec & Ricoh printers

Perform all other duties as directed by warehouse manager.

Education / Experience / Training Required:

  • Minimum high school diploma required
  • Ability to learn and apply additional training such as, IL6S concepts and Quality Suites.
  • Two to four years related experience.
  • Familiarity with general manufacturing operations and inventory systems.
  • Ability to acquire a forklift license
  • Ability to learn and apply IL6S concepts as appropriate
