Job Description
We are looking for dynamic, passionate individuals to join the Front of House teams in one of our largest and most iconic venues at Fairmont Banff Springs - Vermillion Room. As a Host or Food Porter, you will play a key role in creating exceptional first impressions and delivering seamless service experiences in fast-paced, high-volume environments

Note - preference will be given to those that our available for the full season (June-October 15th)
We have both casual & full-time positions available.
Casual Availability Requirement: To be scheduled, availability must include a minimum of 2 days per week with 8 hours per shift, contingent upon business levels permitting. Preference will be given to those that our available for the full season (June -October 15th). This role is not eligible for Staff Accommodations
Starting Rate: $18.08 per hour - $18.70 per hour, this is dependent on the position.
What you will be doing:
Host/ess:
- Meet, greet and seat guests and maintain daily floor plans to suit forecasted guest and staffing levels
Food Porter:
- Transporting food from the kitchen to the dining room in a quick and efficient way
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Must have Pro-Serve Certification for Alberta prior to your start date
- Previous experience in a high-volume and fast paced hospitality environment is preferred (experience required is dependent on position)
- POS system experience an asset
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry, with a love for all things food and drink
- Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more
Additional Position Requirements:
Host - Previous food and beverage experience required of 1 year at least
Porter - 6 months previous food and beverage experience required preferably in a fast paced luxury environment and comfortable carry 3 plates at one time.
