About the role
The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with five operating mines in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Nicaragua.
##Job Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Helper to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Helper is responsible for following direction of Supervisors to assist the team in the maintenance shop.
##Key Responsibilities
- Assist with regular shop duties including cleaning and restocking of consumables.
- Work closely with technicians to complete routine maintenance on fleet while learning the trade.
- Fill in on Wash Bay and Fuel Lube Island duties when required.
- Work closely with direct supervisor to ensure delegated tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Compliance with Equinox Greenstone Policies and Procedures.
- Compliance with statutory regulations.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism in the discharge of duty and personal conduct.

Required Experience and Skill Set
- Mechanical background considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Able to use basic computer programs
- Demonstrated ability to work exceptionally in a team atmosphere.
