The Ministry of Justice is seeking a thorough, conscientious, and flexible individual for a Program Support position. This position will provide administrative support services to the Maintenance Enforcement Office's enforcement and debt collection program, as well as telephone reception duties to clients and the public.

As a member of a team of professionals, you will present yourself and the Branch in a professional, reliable, and confident manner. You will have the ability to actively listen, comprehend and orally respond in an empathetic manner to information, directions or questions over the phone or in person in an accurate, clear and timely manner and at a level appropriate to the audience while on the phone or in person about the Maintenance Enforcement Program from people who may be angry, confused, rude, upset, or difficult to understand.

You will have knowledge of general office practices and procedures, including mail and payment processing, and filing and record keeping. You will have the ability to accurately compile, sort, and distribute high volumes of incoming and outgoing mail in a timely manner.

You will have demonstrated the ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, email and the internet. You will also have the ability to use a computer to search, enter, edit, and retrieve data using various software packages and applications with accuracy and within established guidelines and timelines. You will have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while adapting to changing circumstances and constant interruptions to meet deadlines. You will also have the ability to accurately apply regulations, policies and procedures. You will have the ability to accurately perform mathematical functions and cashier duties using a variety of electronic equipment.

This position will be of interest to an individual who welcomes a challenging environment with diverse job expectations. A minimum of grade 12 or equivalent, one year of administrative experience or an office education course is required to be a successful candidate for this position.
