You as a DevOps Engineer will:
- Collaborate with application developers and team members to architect solutions on cloud platform for application hosting.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and workflows to streamline application delivery and deployment.
- Analyze, debug, and triage Incident tickets, resolve production issues, including infrastructure failures, application performance bottlenecks, system latency, and IaaS service disruptions.
- Scale and optimize cloud infrastructure to support growth while ensuring high reliability, security, and compliance standards.
Is this the right role for you?
- Have a university degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- Have 6+ years of full-time software engineering industry-level experience.
- You are able to build strong trust with business stakeholders by taking ownership and driving new initiatives and projects to successful completion.
- You are proficient with at least one of the programming languages like Bash/Python/Ruby.
- Have working experience with at least one of the cloud platforms such as Azure/GCP/AWS.
- Solid DBA experience managing any of the databases like MySQL/MSSQL/MongoDB/Oracle.
- Mastery in query optimization, partitioning strategies, and database replication and deep understanding of distributed NoSQL systems and eventual consistency models.
- Can design highly scalable NoSQL architectures with custom partitioning, replication, and failover strategies.
- Experience implementing load balancing, caching (Redis, Memcached), and database sharding.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as code such as Terraform, and Ansible/AWS Cloud Formation.
- Hands-on with server administration and monitoring on Linux/Windows stack.
- Experienced in configuring enterprise-level cloud backup solutions and conducting periodic disaster recovery fire drills to ensure business continuity.
- Expertise in designing distributed systems with scalability, fault-tolerance, and high availability.
- Skilled in presenting technical ideas to leadership and clients, driving cross-team collaboration, and writing comprehensive documentation.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in Agile teams and understanding of Scrum/Kanban model of software delivery.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog/Splunk/Grafana.
- Exposure to Hashicorp Vault and Hashicorp Boundary.
- Beginner level certification in one of the cloud technologies (Azure/GCP/AWS).
- Work experience in full-stack development/data engineering/software testing.
- Knowledge of IaC management tools like Crossplane or ArgoCD.
