The Ministry of Social Services, Housing Division works with non-profit and for-profit organizations to ensure that Saskatchewan residents have access to quality, affordable housing. The Housing Infrastructure team is looking to fill a permanent, full-time position with a results-oriented individual with well-developed leadership, project development and consulting skills.

As the Project Development Consultant, you will provide expert program delivery, as well as project development and project management on housing initiatives. You will collaborate and advise non-profit housing corporations, cooperatives, municipalities, government agencies and the private sector delivering a variety of housing programs and initiatives for households with diverse housing needs and our most vulnerable populations.

As the candidate of choice, you will bring knowledge of project management principles, procurement practices, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have experience in managing relationships with community and government partners. You will have the ability to support a team of professionals through the planning, design, and construction of various projects. You will have the ability to assess financial statements and business plans as they pertain to the development of projects and the sustainability of the organization.

Typically, the knowledge for this position will be gained through a degree in planning, business administration, or a related discipline with experience in project management, residential housing project delivery or contract management. Experience with procurement options and analysis and/or non-profit work would be favorable. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Travel to other areas of the province will be required.

This position will be based in Regina or Saskatoon.
