Garden City Snow & Anti-Ice Services Ltd. is seeking experienced, reliable Skid Steer Operators to join our on-call snow removal team for the upcoming winter season. If you have a strong commitment to responding promptly when snow arrives, we’d like to hear from you!
Job Description:

Position: Skid Steer Operator On-Call Snow Removal (2 operators for day shift / 2 operators for night shift)

Shifts: Day (5 am - 5 pm) or Night (5 pm - 5 am)

Availability: On-call basis, fully committed to responding when assigned a shift during snow events (including weekends and holidays)

Location: Must have reliable transportation to attend the designated site promptly (within Greater Victoria Area)
Responsibilities:

Operate skid steers efficiently for snow removal in commercial and industrial properties.
-
Respond to call-outs quickly and be prepared to work a full shift as required.

Ensure safe, effective snow removal practices, maintaining equipment as needed.
Requirements:

Proven experience operating skid steers specifically for snow removal. (at least 200 hours)

Ability to commit to on-call responsibilities and respond to shifts as assigned.

Reliable personal transportation to arrive on-site punctually.

Must be prepared for cold, snowy conditions, and varying shift lengths (4-12 hours).

Experience with other equipment such as MT85 is an asset

Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd was founded by Chris Stansfield approximately 15 yrs ago. The company has grown to 35 full time staff that includes office administration, Human Resource Technician, Risk manager, Estimator and managers of each of its divisions (Arbor, Maintenance, Install, Irrigation, Equipment). Chris Stansfield is President and co owner. Colin Eaton is Vice President and co owner. The two owners have known each other since their early teens and have developed a respectful working relationship. Chris and Colin grew up in the small community of Rossland, B.C. where they experienced first hand core values that are the focal point of its operations: Respect for Individuals, Safe work Environment, Peer Support, Accountabiity Quality Workmanship Client Experience With these core values as our focal point, we continue to hire quality people that perform quality work.
