About the role
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This role requires a strong commitment to patient education, preventive care, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the dental office.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Assess patients? oral health and provide appropriate recommendations for treatment.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care practices.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Power Practice software.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient care.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental hygiene practices.
Requirements
- Valid Provincial license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proficiency in using Power Practice or similar dental software is preferred.
- Prior experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance patient interactions, but it is not required.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
