We are currently hiring for a Customer Relations Specialist in Kitchener! If you're highly motivated and are ready for an exciting career that will shape the future of the foodservice industry, we want to hear from you.

Schedule:

  • Tuesday - Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm
  • Must also be flexible to support a varied schedule, and start times ranging between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and statutory holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a variety of customer service duties including taking orders, calling customers, and keying in orders into Ordering System.
  • Analyze, Track, and enter credit requests.
  • Run various computer reports, and maintain spreadsheet tracking/data with accuracy.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, traffic, warehouse, sales, credit, customers and vendors.
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external clients and business partners.
  • Provide assistance and support to Territory Managers and their pursuits of business.
  • Handle reships including effective costing/savings opportunities with couriers and product.
  • Investigate issues to resolve problems and efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, traffic, warehouse, sales, credit, customers and vendors
  • Demonstrate a constant willingness to ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Complete and keep up to date on all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance training pertinent to the role.
  • Responsible for reporting any and all concerns related to the Health & Safety, safe handling and integrity of all items received, stored and distributed by Flanagan Foodservice.
  • Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices.
  • Follow safe and efficient work procedures to meet customer requirements including maintaining a clean and safe environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Completion of Grade 12 required.
  • Possess a high level of professionalism and dedication to customer service.
  • Strong time management and organization skills to manage multiple tasks and manage tight deadlines.
  • Good computer skills and proficient using MS Office application (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good critical thinking skills to solve problems and handle difficult situations in a professional manner.
  • Flexible schedule to support the scheduled shift, and ability to work weekends and statutory holidays as assigned.

Unique Requirements:

  • Understanding of Customer Relations, and how Customer Relations affects other departments.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with upset customers, demanding internal customers.
  • Flexible to work non-standard hours on weekends and holidays.
