What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Territorial Gas Bar Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Responsible to provide an exceptional level of customer service and maintain a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all Discovery Co-op, industry, and governmental policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.
- Responsible for the safe handling and preparation of raw and/or cooked chicken for Chester’s Chicken menu items in the C-Store, including cleaning, cutting/trimming, displaying, pricing, packaging and serving customers.
- Performs general housekeeping duties, assisting team members when necessary, and any other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Customer Service and:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 1-2 years food preparation experience would be an asset.
- Co-operative retail experience is an asset.
- Safe Food Handling Certificate will be required upon hire.
- Must be comfortable working with different types of equipment such as scales, knives, pricing equipment, step ladders, etc.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have good manual dexterity and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work regularly in cooler temperatures due to products in department.
- Must be able to work around hot temperatures associated with the preparation of hot foods.
- Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends.
A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
