Title: Business Development and Client Integration Specialist
Summary:
Reporting to the Director- Employment and Career Services Department, the Business Development and Client Integration Specialist will build the client base of WWSTC while managing service delivery and operations of the training Centre
Focus:
-
Grow the department by connecting with Service Provider Organizations (SPOs), WorkBC, Business and Employers, and other organizations to meet their clients and/or employees’ training needs.

Ensure that training programs are financially viable and meet the target number of participants to build a cohort/class
-
Coordinate and collaborate with the Employment and Career Services Team to determine training needs
Roles and Responsibilities:
-
Markets WWSTC employment and training program(s) to prospective clients and employers, and develop related promotional materials on various platforms
-
Conducts orientations and information sessions and communicates target participants and client eligibility for programs and services.
-
Communicates with Director-WWSTC regarding information on available resources within the community (e.g. OST, PBLMT, CWRG, employer training grants), refers to programs and services as required, and monitors enrollment/progress in those programs.

Liaises with ECS Career Advisers re: Training Needs Analysis (TNAs) of employers and creates learning objectives and training outline for WWSTC consideration.

Liaises with the program funder, internal staff, and stakeholders to provide and receive information that supports clients/students’ ability to achieve their goals.
-
Participate in approved sectoral and community networks.

Maintains and updates information in accordance with reporting requirements.

Provides narrative input into reports.
Qualifications:
-
Diploma in Human Services, Business Management, Sales and Marketing or Career Development.
-
Recent related experience in business development and service delivery in an employment and training environment. Demonstrated understanding of the BC Labour Market trends and training opportunities.

Have an established network of Service Provider Organizations, WorkBC, and Employers.

Advanced MS Office and database skills.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem solve.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Must pass a criminal record background check.
