Data Analyst

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Your role on our team: To oversee all data management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in a CRM system. To implement and enforce policies and procedures for effective data management and analysis as well as managing data integrity and monitor user adoption throughout the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Establish and uphold efficient data management and analysis procedures, focusing on all technical details.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain process and systems training documentation.
  • Engage with functional teams to understand their processes and their impact on data cleanliness/hygiene to ensure data integrity is maintained.
  • In functional areas where process is not clearly defined, identify, develop, and document those processes.
  • Analyze and document gaps between current and desired system functionality.
  • Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track marketing performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Analyze demographic and behavioural data to identify target markets and customer segments.
  • Provide recommendations based on market research findings to inform marketing strategies.
  • Assist and support functional teams on troubleshooting and testing.
  • Monitor user adoption across the organization and assist users in their daily operations with data systems and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Manage documentation and reporting of system issues and takes on accountability for bringing them to conclusion.
  • Assess and monitor database health to advise and enforce policies for effective data collection and management.
  • Lead and oversee database maintenance practices, including but not limited to regular auditing, updating, database cleanup, and deduplication.
  • Monitor and analyze information to identify issues or areas of concerns with functionality of CRM systems and other operating systems.
  • Extract data, create reports and dashboards as well as other data-related projects for functionality assessments, as needed.

We would like you to have:

Education: Associate degree (minimum); or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics or other related field.

Experience:

  • Establish and uphold efficient data management and analysis procedures, focusing on all technical details.

  • Engage with functional teams to understand their processes and their impact on data cleanliness/hygiene to ensure data integrity is maintained.

  • Assist and support functional teams on data audit and end-user testing.
  • Monitor user adoption across the organization and assist users in their daily operations with data systems and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Manage documentation and reporting of system issues and takes on accountability for bringing them to conclusion.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot data issues, followed by performing data correction tasks.
  • Assess and monitor database health to advise and enforce policies for effective data collection and management.
  • Lead and oversee database maintenance practices, including but not limited to regular auditing, updating, database cleanup, and deduplication.
  • Monitor and analyze information to identify issues or areas of concerns with functionality of CRM systems and other operating systems.
  • Extract data based on business requirements, create reports and dashboards as well as other data-related projects for functionality assessments, as needed

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience planning and executing data management practices by leveraging technologies to query, program and present data.

  • 2+ years’ experience in building reports and dashboards, data preparation, and driving insights from complex data.

  • Strong understanding and experience of CRM System/Software; Salesforce experience preferred. Marketo experience a bonus.

  • Proven experience in analysis and advising regarding data maintenance, data integrity, and data reports.

  • Working experience in developing dashboards using Power BI or Tableau is a must.

  • Experience in dealing with complex cross-organizational projects.

  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, recommendations, delegation, etc.)

  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards and paying attention to details.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects across various functions, adapting to shifting priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

  • High proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Proficiency with SQL or Python is preferred.

  • Skilled at analyzing and organizing large data sets, as well as explaining complex issues in simple, non-technical terms.

  • Strong logical, analytical, and quantitative skills.

  • Excellent ability to manage in-person and virtual team interactions and collaborative focused.
