Overview of the role: Saputo is seeking a HACCP Coordinator, for an existing opportunity within our organization .
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, this position will provide leadership, knowledge transfer and execution of best practices and documentation related to the GMP and HACCP Programs including leading the HACCP team and coordinating activities required to implement, update and maintain the GMP, HACCP and BRC Programs.
How you will make contributions that matter:
- Develop, implement, refine, coordinate and audit the GMP and HACCP Programs and BRC Requirements for the manufacturing facility. Monitors for compliance to policies and procedures. Documents amendments to GMP and HACCP Programs clearly and logically;
- Conduct internal audits of the facility’s HACCP system. Develop and implement corrective actions based on the audit results;
- Provide advice on problem resolution and assists with regulatory, customer and third-party audits and inspections. Participate, in conjunction with Quality Control Manager, in CFIA and other third-party audits and implement necessary program changes.
- Develop, coordinate and conduct necessary employee and contractor HACCP training programs (i.e.; GMP/HACCP, Allergen, CCP, etc). Implement training sessions and develop procedures and protocols to ensure HACCP structure in place and maintained;
- Maintain complete and accurate records related to all GMP and HACCP activities;
- Participate in Plant Mock Recalls as part of the mock recall team;
- Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.’s quality standards;
- Undertake other functions as required.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary training in Food Science, Microbiology or related field;
- 3 to 5 years of experience with HACCP systems and related programs such as GMPs and/or Quality Assurance in food manufacturing
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office applications);
- Experience in plant audits and inspections;
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure;
- Thorough knowledge of BRC Global Standard and its requirements;
- Excellent organizational skills, decision making skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform with minimal supervision;
- Supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and implement change among members of a team

Shift: Monday to Friday Salary: $60,530 to $79,390
- Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
