Position Summary We’re looking for a dedicated and hands-on Area Supervisor to lead Patient Service Centres across the North Shore and Sunshine Coast region of British Columbia. This onsite role is based out of our Lonsdale Patient Service Centre, with regular travel to Bowen Island and the Sunshine Coast approximately twice per month. Weekend work may be required depending on operational needs.

In this role, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned sites, supporting employees, workflow, and resources to ensure exceptional service and operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in fostering a positive team environment while ensuring compliance with corporate policies, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.

What You’ll Do As an Area Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead daily operations and site performance: Oversee staff, workflow, scheduling, materials, and resources to ensure operational efficiency while monitoring key metrics such as PWT, Productivity, and NPS.
  • Drive service excellence: Coach and support teams to deliver high-quality laboratory services and exceptional customer experiences, while resolving escalated client concerns and service disruptions.
  • Support quality and compliance: Prepare for and participate in accreditation audits (ACD/DAP), conduct complex non-conforming event investigations, and guide teams in maintaining quality logs and compliance standards.
  • Manage employee lifecycle and engagement: Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, attendance management, and employee development while supporting benefits administration and return-to-work processes.
  • Partner with HR and Union representatives: Collaborate with Human Resources and local Union representatives to address employee matters, grievances, and workplace initiatives while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Oversee site administration and resources: Manage materials, supplies, work orders, expenses, janitorial contracts, uniforms, and incident logs to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
  • Contribute to operational improvements: Deliver training, support incident investigations and corrective actions, assist with workforce planning and scheduling adjustments, and participate in projects or operational initiatives as required.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams and site operations.
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Phlebotomy skills, Home Care, and/or Data Sort experience.
  • Knowledge of PSC functions and administrative processes.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain operational standards across multiple sites.
  • Collaborative, inclusive leadership style that supports employee engagement and development.

What We Offer Salary range: $66,800 – 85,200 CAD annually (commensurate with experience)
