What’s the position?
We are seeking a data-driven, strategic, and creative Director of User Acquisition to define and refine our new user growth strategies across all paid media channels.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of media buying, analytics, creative strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be a hands-on contributor to campaign success, inquisitive in analyzing our reporting trends and always finding solutions to the challenges of the day. You’ll play a key part in shaping the growth trajectory of our gaming apps and the Hard Rock Games brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & execute UA strategies across key paid media platforms (e.g., Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Programmatic, YouTube, ASA) to acquire high-value users efficiently in line with Hard Rock Games portfolio growth strategies.
- Manage Performance Partnerships, consistently negotiating the best deals for our apps.
- Develop Influencer strategies that drive direct ROI and organic growth.
- Find the most cost-effective opportunities to promote our brand and game portfolio to power our organic and earned media growth.
- Own campaign planning, execution, and daily campaign optimization, ensuring performance goals (e.g., CPA, ROAS, LTV) are met or exceeded.
- Manage a multi-million-dollar budget constantly adjusting our paid media channel mix to grow revenue.
- Full accountability for forecasting, pacing, and performance reporting for your campaigns.
- Run structured creative testing in partnership with the creative team and select agency partners using insights to inform future iterations and channel best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Data Analytics, Design, and CRM teams to align acquisition efforts with lifecycle marketing and retention goals.
- Drive any necessary reporting, tracking and attribution improvements in collaboration with Data Analytics and Technical Data teams. Demonstrable knowledge of navigating SKAD/SKAN data schemas is a plus.
- Stay ahead of platform changes, algorithm updates, and competitive trends to maintain cutting-edge execution.
- Represent Hard Rock Digital professionally with all 3rd parties ensuring premium partnerships with key vendors.
What are we looking for?
- 8+ years of hands-on user acquisition experience with a focus on combinations of paid social, search, video and display channels.
- Proven track record of profitably scaling paid media campaigns in a high-growth environment, ideally in gaming or direct-to-consumer app products.
- Deep understanding of performance metrics (CPA, ROAS, LTV, retention, etc.) and attribution models.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Looker, GA4, AppsFlyer, Adjust) and A/B testing frameworks.
- Strong strategic thinking with a performance mindset and test-and-learn mentality.
- Experience managing media budgets >$500k per month is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Passion for growth marketing, experimentation, and data.
Preferred Experience
- Background in mobile app marketing, gaming, subscription services, or e-commerce.
- Demonstrable expertise with MMPs, SKAdNetwork, and post-iOS14 attribution.
- Experience with creative briefing, UGC/influencer-led ads and video ad best practices.
