The Manager of Health Records, Admitting and Patient Registration is responsible for managing all aspects of the hospital’s health records information service, transcription services, patient admitting and registration services and for overseeing the delivery of telecommunications and mail to the hospital in accordance with legislation. The Manager is responsible for all aspects of health record lifecycle management.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a three (3) year Diploma in Health Information Management or Health Sciences
- Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in health care or related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of formal supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and with respect in an oral and written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health disciplines
- Demonstrated effective critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated effective teambuilding and coaching skills
- Demonstrated commitment to patient and employee safety
- Experience working with unions and union contracts
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Demonstrated understanding of formal and informal systems in an organizational environment
- Demonstrated experience in continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrated knowledge of computerized office applications
- Valid class G driver’s license required
- Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
- Proficient in the use of a variety of computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
- Embodies the LEAN ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Bilingualism preferred (French/English)

With the dedicated support of nearly 800 staff, an engaged physician community and hundreds of active volunteers, the Pembroke Regional Hospital is a designated District Stroke Centre and offers regional programming in the areas of mental health services, orthopaedics, telemedicine, cardiac care, Ontario Breast Screening programs, and cancer care services.
