The Regional Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for their assigned territory leading enhancements across a network of sites, driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in the areas of safety, process efficiency and cost effectiveness.
What You Will Do:
Major/Key Accountabilities
- Drive the implementation of innovative and creative ideas, methods, and process improvements for all CHEP SC/3rd Party Operations
- Promote operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement, challenge the status quo persistently
- Serve as a change agent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and driving actions across various levels of the organization to ensure added value and the effectiveness of implemented processes and tools
- Identify improvement opportunities, develop, and manage improvement plans, and lead improvement initiatives with SC champions and process owners. Identify gaps and design new processes, while improving safety performance metric, reduce waste, and save costs
- Develop analyses and models for projects and continuous improvement of processes, working collaboratively across functions to develop optimal low cost/high value solutions as prioritized by Supply Chain leadership
- Provide robust data analysis focused on cost reductions, process improvements, and strategic initiatives for the Canadian Operations and Supply Chain team
- Drive continuous improvement training program within CHEP / 3PL operations, in collaboration with plant champions and OPEX team, provide training and coaching to employees on lean and continuous improvement methodologies to execute improvement projects
- Analyze data using LEAN Six Sigma statistical data analysis methods
- Conduct problem-solving, root cause analysis, Gemba Walks, KAIZEN events, and CI improvement workshops
- Develop and analyze key performance indicators to monitor and track the impact and benefits of improvements in support of the company's objectives
- Implement and develop necessary procedures, tools, flow charts, templates and online tools and apps
- Assists plants with various operational issues, SAP, Procurement and Coupa
What You Will Bring:
Experience
- Worked in a process driven situation where success depends on adherence to deadlines
- Inventory planning/control and logistics experience
- Data analytics, Operations, Project Management
- Safety Experience
Skills and Knowledge
- Good working knowledge of MS office (particularly Excel)
- Self-motivated and works well under pressure
- The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy with a high volume of output

- 40-50% within assigned territory + national travel (ad-hoc)
- 1 site in Winnipeg + 1 site in Saskatchewan

Compensation Statement:
The salary range for this position is $74,000 to $110,000 per year. Salary ranges provided take into account a wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications, geographic differentials and other business and organizational needs. Therefore, actual amounts offered may be higher or lower than the range provided. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be part of a total offering beyond medical & retirement benefits and may include other monetary incentives or business benefits.
