Scope of the position: This position is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all facility equipment and systems. The role ensures that all maintenance activities are performed efficiently, minimizing production downtime and ensuring operational uptime. The position requires hands-on technical skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Additionally, the ideal candidate will embody a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement. The role emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established best practices. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all production & facility equipment. Service, troubleshoot & calibrate a wide variety of machinery (Autoclaves, Manual & CNC Equipment, Vacuum pumps, Trim Robots, etc.) Performs duties as required including the repair and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems and tools. Use a variety of industrial equipment, tools and machinery to perform repairs and maintenance of equipment. Maintain spare parts and components inventory at appropriate levels. Inform Maintenance Manager of low levels or shortage of parts/components in stock. Solve maintenance-related problems with minimum interruption to production. Work in compliance with ISO9001, TS16949 and ISO14001 standards. Be responsible for all parameters of assigned tasks Responsible for completion of necessary paperwork including work orders/time sheet entries in a timely manner. Provides trouble-shooting assistance to other maintenance personnel as required. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area. Always observe and comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Attend required training/certification courses. Participate in Kaizen and G.E.A.R. programs. Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles. Assisting in the implementation of continuous improvement suggestions (G.E.A.R.) Ensure the shop environment is kept safe, clean, and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques perform all other duties as determined by the General Manager or his designate Pay Range: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour Basic Requirements: 2 to 5 years of experience working as a maintenance mechanic, technician, or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Ability to read, write and speak fluent English. Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems. Understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and basic electrical troubleshooting. Experience with Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and associated mechanical systems. Ability to lift heavy objects – up to 50lbs. Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods. Must be familiar with QS-9000 procedures. Working at heights & scissor lift certifications an asset. Forklift/Reach Truck certification an asset. Overtime as required. Basic tools to perform job.
