##Responsibilities
The T2P (Transition to Professional Practice) Coordinator will collaborate with the Teacher Education team, faculty, campus and community partners to create a T2P program schedule that meets the needs of teacher candidates and complements the Bachelor of Education (BEd) course material. The incumbent will develop learning outcomes, success criteria, and assessment strategies for each workshop included in the T2P program. The T2P Coordinator will identify new opportunities to ensure the T2P program evolves to meet the everchanging trends and needs in the field of education.
Qualifications
Education:
-
Undergraduate Degree; Bachelor of Education or Master of Education preferred
-
Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) designation preferred
Experience:
-
1 year of administrative experience in an office environment
-
Teaching experience, post-secondary administrative experience, or other work within the education system is an asset
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills that build positive relationships with external stakeholders
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative and work with little supervision
- Ability to foster collaboration and respect among team members
- Communication skills with confidence interacting with individuals at all levels of an organization
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to apply creativity, innovation and resourcefulness to daily work
- Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to create a positive impression while interacting with others and responding to inquiries, by telephone, in person or electronically
- Results-oriented with an ability to handle many tasks and maintain a high level of individual and team performance
