St. James Anglican Church – Custodian
St. James Anglican Church is seeking a reliable and dedicated Custodian to care for our church property and ensure the building and grounds are clean, safe, and ready for worship, events, and community activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain the church building, including offices, kitchen, washrooms, and common areas.
- Set up and take down spaces for services, meetings, and special events.
- Keep grounds tidy, including mowing, raking leaves, and light outdoor upkeep.
- Inspect the property, perform basic maintenance, and report repairs as needed.
- Order and restock cleaning supplies and light bulbs.
- Support occasional evening or weekend events as required.
Schedule
This role includes regular weekday hours, with occasional evenings and weekends for services or events. Additional seasonal hours may be needed for outdoor upkeep.
Reporting
The Custodian reports to the Church Corporation (Incumbent & Wardens) and plays an important role in supporting the life and ministry of the parish.
Job Details
Location: 225 Edmund St, Carleton Place, ON K7C 3E7
Hours: 12-15 hours per week
Start Date: October 27, 2025
Compensation: $17.60/hour
Employment Type: Part-time, Permanent
