Plan Specialist Processing (RDSP)
- The position is available in Toronto.
- Please note that this role has multiple openings.
- Please note all roles require working rotating shifts - Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 8 pm EST for our RDSP (registered disability savings plan) Processing team.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Position Overview
The Plan Specialist is responsible for providing operational guidance and direction to all levels within the organization for specific registered plan (RDSP) and operational services that are complex in nature. The Plan Specialist will help the business units to interpret regulation balanced with practical application. This will ensure sound business decisions are made which help us to reduce risk while maintaining service excellence and ensuring client needs are met. The goal is to ensure alignment across the industry, departments and compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements. As such, the specialist will liaise with internal and external auditors. The Plan Specialist will also actively participate as a subject matter expert and provide expert business knowledge for new technology and automation initiatives, supporting the relevant decision-making processes to execute established business solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- Use industry and regulatory expertise to act as the subject matter expert within the organization with the goal of alignment and compliance across departments.
- Manage operational audits related to RDSP plan.
- Proactively kick off and/or support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the administration of RDSP plan.
- Contribute to the success of the RDSP processing teams though support of daily operations.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience
-
Expert knowledge in the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) and ability to stay abreast of requirements and changes on area of expertise.
-
More than 3 years related work experience in the mutual fund or financial services industry.
-
Experience participating in industry and/or project working groups.
-
Experience with continuous improvement and change management
-
In-depth knowledge of processing RDSP and industry policies and procedures related to the administration and transaction execution of registered plan (RDSP).
-
In-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite, Salesforce and relevant in-house applications (NEXUS, CONX, etc).
Education:
- Completion of a College degree or equivalent work experience.
Designations, Licenses, or Accreditations
- Completion of IFIC or CSC is preferred.
