Extension Potential: Yes Permanent Conversion Potential: Yes Overtime: Possible Travel: Occasional attendance at hiring and recruitment events About the Opportunity Our client, a leading Tier 1 Canadian bank, is seeking an experienced Recruiter V to join a highly collaborative Talent Acquisition team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recruitment professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys partnering with hiring managers to attract top talent. As a Talent Advisor, you will support retail banking recruitment initiatives while providing expert guidance to hiring managers and stakeholders throughout the full recruitment lifecycle. You'll be joining a supportive team of six recruiters dedicated to delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences. Why Apply? Opportunity to work with a leading Canadian financial institution Collaborative and supportive recruitment team Exposure to enterprise-level hiring practices Ability to influence and shape candidates' careers Partner directly with branch managers and business leaders Work on recruitment projects and talent pipeline initiatives Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment for retail banking positions Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers Create and manage job requisitions Source, screen, and interview candidates Coordinate interviews and final-round discussions Facilitate hiring events and recruitment campaigns Manage background checks and offer processes Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines Provide market insights and recruitment recommendations to stakeholders Monitor recruitment metrics and reporting Maintain compliance with recruitment policies and procedures Support strategic talent acquisition initiatives and projects Promote employer branding activities and networking efforts Typical Day Conducting intake meetings and candidate interviews Managing active requisitions and recruitment pipelines Partnering with hiring managers on hiring decisions Reviewing recruitment metrics and reporting Participating in team meetings and one-on-one sessions Supporting hiring events and talent acquisition projects Note: Approximately 50% of the day may be spent in meetings and/or interviews. Required Qualifications Must-Have Skills 5–7+ years of recruitment experience Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Experience with recruitment reporting and metrics Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes Preferred Experience Agency recruitment background Corporate recruitment experience within large organizations Enterprise-level hiring experience Banking or retail banking recruitment experience Experience recruiting for large, recognized organizations (e.g., banking, technology, e-commerce) Education Post-secondary education required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be: Passionate about recruitment and talent acquisition Resourceful and proactive in solving challenges Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously Detail-oriented and highly organized Skilled at building relationships with stakeholders Confident working independently while collaborating with team members Driven by delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences Performance Metrics Success in this role will be measured through: Time-to-fill and time-to-hire metrics Stakeholder satisfaction Recruitment compliance Communication effectiveness Recruitment tracking and reporting accuracy Escalation management
