The Department of Business, Mining, Trade and Job Creation is looking for a qualified candidate for the Program Support Clerk position in Morden, Manitoba.
The Manitoba Government has a comprehensive benefit package which includes extended health care, health spending account, dental care, vision care, long term disability insurance, group life insurance, maternity/paternity leave, family related leave, and a defined pension plan (some pension plans allow for portability between the Civil Service Superannuation Board and employers).

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience performing a wide variety of administrative and/or clerical functions to support program delivery.
- Experience performing accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget reconciliations and/or creating financial reports.
- Experience working as a first point of contact with the public in a customer service-oriented environment and providing service to a diverse clientele.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft office such as Outlook, Word, Excel or similar software programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationships with a team and the public.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to provide information in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare, edit and format correspondence.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to interpret, explain, and apply regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative.
Desired:
- Experience working with SAP or an equivalent financial management software.
Duties:
The Program Support Clerk provides financial, program, and administrative support services to the Central Region. The position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the office runs in an efficient and effective manner involving a wide range of activities such as financial management, purchasing, third party contract administration by managing vendor information, reconciling payment claim information, unblocking verified payments and assisting with report generation requests; as well as collects client documentation, validates eligibility, and maintains client records.
