Job Title: QA Engineer

Work Location: Ontario, Toronto, Canada (Remote)

Job Summary / Role Summary

Primary Skills

Typically, 7 or more years in software quality assurance with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior testing capacity Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle SDLC and hands on experience with test automation frameworks eg Selenium Appium and test management tools Analytical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities for root cause analysis and defect tracking Certifications: Certifications like ISTQB CQA or CSTE are highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Planning: Define testing scope design test coverage plans and establish robust test strategies for new product releases Team Leadership: Manage and mentor QA engineers allocate daily tasks and monitor individual and team performance Process Optimization: Identify areas for continuous improvement in testing methodologies frameworks and CICD pipelines Collaboration: Partner with Cross functional teams DevOps Product and Developers to translate business requirements into actionable test cases Reporting: Define and track QA metrics eg test coverage defect density release quality to provide regular status reports Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex testing strategies to stakeholders
