We are hiring a permanent full-time
Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis
in Edmonton!
As the Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis, you will act as a business partner to Electricity Services leadership, providing accurate and insightful financial reporting that supports strategic decision-making. You will lead external financial reporting, oversee revenue and operating expenses accounting, and manage a team of analysts while collaborating across departments to drive operational and regulatory excellence.
What you’d be responsible for

Lead month
-end close and ensure all transactions for the assigned business areas are recorded accurately under IFRS, including coordinating and managing external audit processes and year-end deliverables

Research and apply appropriate accounting standards and develop recommendations on moderately complex accounting policies under IFRS

Deliver and present clear, timely, and insightful performance reporting to leadership

Provide financial analysis and support to business partners to inform strategic and operational decisions

Lead and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals, fostering a culture of curiosity and accountability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget, forecast, and regulatory reporting

Identify and implement process and system improvements across the reporting function
What’s required to be successful
- CPA designation
- Diploma or Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting or technical accounting
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Public practice experience is an asset
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
- High proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI and Oracle is an asset
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to influence outcomes in cross-functional environments
- Openness to learning new tools and adapting to digital transformation
