Your Contribution:

MPE, a division of Englobe, is seeking multiple motivated Civil Engineering Technologists to join our growing Water Resources team in Saskatoon, SK. Multiple positions are available for junior (0-5 years), and intermediate (5-10 years) civil engineering technologists. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects on civil infrastructure in the water resources industry, while collaborating with a team of experienced engineers and technologists.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and senior technologists to design and draft civil and water resource infrastructure such as major earthworks projects, dams, canals, drainage, pipelines, site grading, and drainage systems.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and models using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Conduct field surveys utilizing RTK GPS equipment, including topographic surveys, bathymetric surveys, ROV inspections, construction layout, and quantity surveys.
  • Perform site inspections and resident engineering duties during construction phases, including daily reporting, quantity take-offs, and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Assist with construction administration, including reviewing contractor work and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Work closely with intermediate and senior engineers, technologists, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery from conceptual design through construction.
  • Support quality control and adherence to safety standards on all projects.
  • Participate in data analysis and reporting for water resource studies and infrastructure assessments.

Your Profile:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Junior: 0–5 years of relevant experience (recent graduates welcome).
  • Intermediate: 5–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Eligible for registration with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPSK).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other drafting/design software.
  • Familiarity with GPS survey technology; experience with RTK systems is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic about delivering quality work.
  • Interest or experience in civil engineering and/or water resources engineering is considered an asset.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Aptitude for general construction methods; field experience is an asset.
  • Willingness to work in the field for extended periods when required.
