The Opportunity We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Land Analyst to join our dynamic team. This position will play a key role in managing mineral land assets, interpreting complex agreements, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of mineral rights.
Responsibilities
- Identify mineral and surface rights for specific energy projects
- Analyze, interpret, and administer mineral lease agreements, contracts, and related documents.
- Manage and maintain mineral records and systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve related issues.
- Prepare and submit Crown applications, transfers, continuations, and lease rentals.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure compliance across all jurisdictions
- Conduct regular quality checks on data and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems and reports.
- Provide strategic input into mineral right practices
- Review and analyze land titles, contracts, and other legal documents related to mineral rights.
- Assist in the management of project timelines and budgets.
- Contribute to the development of business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Energy Asset Management or Land Certificate
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an analyst position
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mineral land acquisition
- Extensive experience with SPIN2, ISC, CS Land, and geoSCOUT
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with land management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in English.
