What You Will Do The Trading Support Analyst will provide first-line technology support to the trading team, ensuring seamless operation of trading platforms and applications. They will combine strong technical expertise with an understanding of capital markets to troubleshoot, escalate and resolve issues efficiently. Additionally, they will play a critical role in system upgrades, performance monitoring, process automation and vendor management while contributing to strategic projects.
Responsibilities Trading technology support
- Act as first point of contact for trading technology related issues, resolving and escalating problems promptly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, conduct root cause analysis to identify and mitigate recurring.
Application Performance
- Coordinate system upgrades and enhancements with vendors, internal application owners and support teams.
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues.
Business Analysis
- Participate in planning of projects, facilitating the definition of objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with trading and project management.
- Assist with change management processes, identifying and implementing automation solutions to streamline operations.
Relationship Management
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure effective support and service delivery (third party software and exchanges).
- Collaborate on support items, technology changes and development items with Trading Technology Manager, FCC Service and FCC Application Support
Risk Management
- Identify Risks- Notify/escalate to your manager any errors or mistakes immediately and alert managers about any Risk concerns that may not conform to standard practices and guidelines. This also includes making suggestions, asking questions, or providing feedback that could lead to improved processes and controls with reduced risk.
What We Are Looking For Skills and Knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience translating business requirements into functional requirements.
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical, technical problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of ownership.
- Solid background in business analysis within financial services and expertise in maintenance & support of trading technology solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of capital markets products, processes, applications and FIX protocol.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience in configuring/administering order management/execution management systems
Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a trade support or business analyst role with similar responsibilities within capital markets.
- University Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Experience with execution, middle office, back-office and market data systems.
- Experience in supporting IT applications and SFTP
- Experience in the financial services industry, specifically sell side brokerage experience or retail wealth management experience
- Experience with Broadridge Dataphile; IRESS; Bloomberg
