Discover more about potash at Nutrien! This is an open posting for Co-op, Electrical Engineering students beginning May 2026 for a 16-month term at our Rocanville mine.

  • This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.
  • This position is not available for remote work.
  • Applicants who express interest sooner will have the best chance of being matched with a position.
  • Term (16 months): Dates can be adjusted/extended to coincide with school terms.
    • Spring 2026 - May 4, 2026 - August 27, 2027

What you will do:

  • Conduct electrical and instrumentation field checks.
  • Assist in the development of mine management monitoring.
  • Assist in planning and preventative maintenance.
  • Generate engineering documents such a datasheets and drawings.
  • Complete low and high voltage power distribution drawing and data management.
  • Arc Flash data collection, entry into ETAP and equipment labeling.
  • Develop electrical controls and automation solutions.

What you will bring:

  • Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Electrical Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
  • Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership.
  • Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
  • Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
  • Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
