- This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.
- This position is not available for remote work.
- Applicants who express interest sooner will have the best chance of being matched with a position.
- Term (16 months): Dates can be adjusted/extended to coincide with school terms.
- Spring 2026 - May 4, 2026 - August 27, 2027
What you will do:
- Conduct electrical and instrumentation field checks.
- Assist in the development of mine management monitoring.
- Assist in planning and preventative maintenance.
- Generate engineering documents such a datasheets and drawings.
- Complete low and high voltage power distribution drawing and data management.
- Arc Flash data collection, entry into ETAP and equipment labeling.
- Develop electrical controls and automation solutions.
What you will bring:
- Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Electrical Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
- Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership.
- Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
- Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
- Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
