Description
Our Client is seeking a Network Analyst to upgrade/add equipment and setup Wi-Fi across Alberta. The resource will be travelling to different facilities/locations throughout the Province. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, modernizing, managing and supporting our network infrastructure, along with proactive monitoring, analysis and reporting.
Due to project or operational needs, the contractor may be required to work outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, or designated block/change windows. While this role is remote, due to network and security issues, all work must be done from within Alberta. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply.

Active CCNA Certification or equivalent.

Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and/or during block time/change windows outside of normal business hours (8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Alberta time, Monday to Friday).

Direct involvement in developing best-practices documentation (for example, operational procedures, network diagrams, etc.). (5+ years)

Experience providing customer service technical troubleshooting and problem resolution. (3+ years)

Experience with Cisco layer 1-3 technologies, including the planning, design, and implementation, of an intermediate to large scale network infrastructure. (3+ years)
-
Experience with networking aspects of Microsoft Windows desktop, servers, and nix-based servers. (3+ years)

Experience working with 802.11 wireless networks. (3+ years)

Hands-on experience with Cisco OTV including the planning, design, and implementation, of an intermediate to large scale network infrastructure. (3+ years)

Hands-on experience with QOS across an Enterprise Class organization, which includes devices such as (Catalyst 6500 switches, Nexus 7K and 5K, ISR (29xx and 4xxx Series), ASR routers series, Cisco switches (296x and 375x) and 3650/3850 series, including the planning, design, and implementation. (3+ years)

Experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs and project closures. (1+ year)
