Career Opportunity
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Team Leader to join our Halifax-based Warehouse team. The ideal candidate has strong organization skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a keen understanding of warehouse best practices. The Receiving Team Leader will coordinate daily receiving operations, direct team members, and maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and workflow efficiency. This role supports smooth warehouse operations by ensuring products are received and processed on time to meet team needs.
Responsibilities

Responsible for directing the Receiving and Credit workforce to manage the work load of the department.

- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
- Unload packages from incoming trucks
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity)
- Receive in an accurate and timely manner
- Organize and maintain stock
- Prioritize high anticipated shipments
- Receive credits/transfers/defectives and log into worksheet
- Process in a timely manner

Ensure safe warehouse operations and supply storage, including but not limited to:

- Ensuring all products are properly tagged and labelled
- Ensure all products are stored safely and correctly for maximum warehouse space
- Follow all replenishment best practices
- Bin maintenance

Responsible for inventory integrity including SOC’s/ROC’s and inventory counts.

Coach and train Receiving Team
-
Collaborate with other departments as required

Actively participate in all department duties and lead by example to encourage, motivate, and lead team to success

Ensure all Health & Safety protocols are followed

Demonstrate our company culture and values

Perform other duties as required
Qualifications & Core Competencies
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate
- Supply Chain certification or equivalent considered an asset
- License in Hair, Esthetics, or another relevant industry is an asset
- 1+ year of experience in inventory management and/or procurement
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices
- Demonstrated professionalism with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proven analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Syntax and Cognos preferred
- Experience with IMBi (AS/400) considered an asset

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Schedule/Department Hours: Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to meet business needs.
