Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
-
Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support current and future business needs.

Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals, focusing on cost reduction, quality, and delivery performance.

Lead negotiations of supplier agreements, contracts, and pricing to ensure competitive terms.

Build strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.

Cost & Value Optimization
-
Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for supplier consolidation.
-
Support value engineering initiatives by collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize material selection and design-to-cost.

Drive initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) without compromising quality or service.

Risk Management & Compliance
-
Assess supplier risks (financial, capacity, geopolitical, environmental, etc.) and develop mitigation strategies.

Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability initiatives.
-
Monitor global market trends, commodity pricing, and industry developments to anticipate supply chain impacts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Partner with engineering, operations, category management and quality teams to align sourcing decisions with production requirements.

Support new product introductions (NPI) by sourcing critical components early in the design cycle.

Work with finance and leadership to track sourcing performance against cost and operational targets.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (CPSM, CPIM, or related certifications an asset).
- 5-10 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (SAP), and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and supplier development practices.
- Strong communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
