(IHAL) is seeking dedicated, caring, and reliable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and Caregivers to support our clients in the comfort of their homes. **What You should know
Location:** Mississauga-Winston Churchill Blvd & Eglington
Shift: Thursday's and Saturday's Noon till 8:00pm What You’ll Do Personal Support & Daily Care
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Support mobility, walking, and safe transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair)
Home Support
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Prepare and serve meals based on client preferences and dietary needs
Health & Safety Assistance
- Provide medication reminders and help monitor daily routines
- Complete daily care reports and communicate observations to the Case Manager or healthcare team
Companionship & Emotional Support
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation and provide reassurance
- Promote comfort, dignity, independence, and well-being
What We’re Looking For
- PSW Certificate required
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving or PSW experience
- Must have experience working with advanced dementia patients.
- Language Requirement: Must be fluent in Filipino
- Training in Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) or Non-Violent Crisis Prevention preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification required
- Ability to use a mobile phone for documentation and time tracking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Second language is an asset
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to respond calmly to unexpected situations
- Commitment to client safety, dignity, and respect
