Position Summary
The Leach lab in the Department of Agricultural Biology is seeking a driven, motivated, and organized undergraduate student to fulfill a laboratory position. This position will work closely with a graduate student studying microbes isolated from the aerobiome. Preference is given to undergraduates with experience in microbial antibiotic resistance assays, biofilm assays, and who majors in Microbiology and/or Biomedical Sciences with some knowledge of basic chemistry and/or molecular biology. Colorado State University may conduct background checks on final candidates.

Duties Include
Lab maintenance
Autoclaving
Dishes
Media preparation
Microbiome science
DNA extraction
PCR set-up and analysis
Aseptic conditions
Antibiotic resistance assays & analysis
Biofilm production assays & analysis
Desiccation assays (PEG) & analysis
Blocks of time (3-4 h) are highly preferred when possibl
