Mandatory Requirements:
- Basic qualifications to teach in the Junior Division
Preferred Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions
- Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
- Knowledge and experience in implementing structured literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction
- Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY.
- Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner
- Understanding and commitment to the implementation of culturally responsive pedagogy and the integration of Indigenous perspectives into instruction.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the development of student individual profiles to support the planning of differentiated instruction for a range of student learning needs.
- Commitment to being an active participant on the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
- Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties and familiarity with the school environment would be an asset
- Special Education Part 1 would be an asset.
