About the role
Financial Planner (Permanent, Full-time)
Location: Southeastern Ontario (Hybrid work option available)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday
Rate of Pay: Dependent on experience
As a Financial Planner, you will:
- Provide members with investment and financial planning advice.
- Consistently engage in the development and delivery of modular financial plans, using software and tools to support planning complexity.
- Provide members a review of their existing comprehensive financial plans.
- Promote, sell and delivery of all investment products and services, including third party mutual funds.
- Provide effective portfolio management, consolidating investment assets. Monitor the renewal of maturing investments.
- Contribute towards organizational goals and the growth of the investment portfolio by attaining individual goals objectives through the deployment of business and tactical planning.
- Work collaboratively with the branch network and Kawartha partners to help ensure members financial needs are met and member relationships are expanded.
- Travel in region as necessary to support wealth strategy.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, economics is preferred.
- A financial planner designation – Certified/Chartered Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Master Financial Planner (MFP), Chartered Management Account (CMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC).
- Minimum of 5 years delivering, monitoring and reviewing financial plans.
- Advanced knowledge of all financial planning components (financial management, tax planning, asset management, risk management, retirement planning and estate planning).
- Active Mutual Fund License in good standing through Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC).
- Deep understanding of the wealth industry, competitive landscape and economic issues.
- Knowledge of NaviPlan or other financial planning software.
- Demonstrated passion for financial planning and helping others.
