About the role

Business Development Executive

Summary/objective

As a Business Development Executive your role would be to establish, grow, and maintain relationships within the existing client base and generate new business with new clients. This individual should be highly self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure while meeting deadlines and be able to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally. They should be able to clearly articulate the Celco value proposition.

Essential functions

  • Responsible for managing key accounts, develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions
  • and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth.
  • Develop new client relationships when presented with a new opportunity.
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the clients' business and partner in their ongoing success.
  • Review client project requirements and specifications with the client as well as with Celco estimation team.
  • Prepare and/or work with our estimation team to review quotations/proposals.
  • Collaborate with Celco team to define scope of work and supply.
  • Follow up on all generated quotes to assure that the client is being serviced and to document the outline of the proposed solution.
  • Negotiate with clients on opportunities.
  • Stay current on existing and emerging products and technologies.
  • Maintains ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships consistent with company image and company goals in the marketplace.
  • Execute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner, assuring a favorable impression of yourself and Celco Automation.
  • Contribute to internal and external marketing communication.
  • Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Recognize customer concerns and address proactively.
  • In the end the key responsibility is to bring in the order!

Education and experience

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in an electrical related fi eld is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical and automation industry in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and NW Ontario is considered an asset.
  • Ability to speak at a technical level with industrial clients and offer a value-add sell.
  • Ability to form and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Previous account management/ sales experience preferred .
  • Knowledge of the relevant industries and markets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license is required.

Travel required.

Willingness and ability to travel within assigned sales territory (estimated travel of less than 25% within MB / SK / NOW
