Senior IAM Azure Designer: On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Senior IAM Azure Designer for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior IAM Azure Designer - Job Description: We are looking for a seasoned Azure cloud professional to spearhead strategic planning and governance for our cloud infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with IT Security Architecture and Operations teams to design a secure, compliant, and scalable Azure environment, focusing on architecture, policy development, and security alignment.

Senior IAM Azure Designer - Responsibilities:

• Develop Azure cloud architecture strategies aligned with business and security objectives
• Collaborate with security engineers to integrate Zero Trust principles, compliance frameworks, and IAM best practices
• Define governance models, identity lifecycle policies, and access control standards
• Provide guidance on secure deployment patterns, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
• Advise on cost optimization, scalability, and resilience planning
• Create and maintain documentation for cloud security policies, IAM workflows, and governance standards
• Support strategic vendor evaluations and integration planning for IAM and cloud security solutions

Senior IAM Azure Designer - Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years in Azure architecture, IAM strategy, or cloud security planning
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, RBAC, and Privileged Identity Management concepts
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and Zero Trust architecture
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to translate technical security requirements into actionable governance policies

Senior IAM Azure Designer – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• Azure Security Engineer Associate
• CISSP or equivalent cloud security certification
• Accessible, Teamwork, Problem-Solving, Communication

Senior IAM Azure Designer – Assignment Length: This is a 12 month contract position.
