Role Description This is a part-time Math/Science/English Tutor role based in Vancouver, BC, with a hybrid work model that sometimes allows for a combination of in-person sessions and work from home. The Tutor will provide one-on-one and small group instruction in core subjects, following the company’s step-by-step teaching approach. Responsibilities include planning and delivering structured lessons, assessing student understanding, assigning and reviewing practice work, and adapting explanations to different learning styles. The tutor will track progress and use online tools to support remote sessions when needed. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, preparing materials, and contributing to a positive, encouraging learning environment. Upon hire clients will be provided for you and we can work to accomodate a schedule that works for both parties.
Qualifications
Strong subject-matter skills in either Mathematics, Science or English Clear and patient Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple, step-by-step terms. Able to work with diverse learners and adapting instruction to different learning styles. Comfort using digital tools and platforms for scheduling, lesson delivery, and progress tracking. Ability to work on-site in Vancouver, BC, with some flexibility for remote work. Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a commitment to fostering student confidence and growth.
Pay
This position is paid hourly. Rates for this position range from 35-50$ per hour.

Our History The MTCC’s North Building opened for business on October 2, 1984 with the formal dedication conducted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The South Building was opened 13 years later, with the official opening by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh on June 29, 1997.
