Head Coach – U18 AAA Female Program
We are excited to open applications for the Head Coach of our U18 AAA Female Program.
This leadership role plays a pivotal part in shaping the players**’** experience, team culture, and competitive success of our top female athletes.
The ideal candidate is a committed leader who brings energy, professionalism, and a passion for high-performance female hockey. This coach will guide all on-ice and off-ice elements of the program, support players in their post-secondary goals, and help build an environment where players can thrive.
What You’ll Lead
Practice Planning & On-Ice Development

Deliver weekly practices focused on skill development, systems, and team structure

Use video, feedback, and female-specific coaching methodologies
-
Continually refine plans using elite-level resources and teaching strategies
Game Preparation & Execution
-
Complete scouting and video prep for each opponent
-
Establish game plans and lead in-game adjustments
-
Provide post-game feedback and development direction
Video Analysis & Team Meetings
-
Prepare weekly video sessions
-
Reinforce team concepts and individual development priorities
Post-Secondary Support
-
Support players goal to pursue NCAA/USPORTS pathways
-
Work closely with the GM to communicate with university programs and scouts
-
Collaborate with the program’s GM to guide families on eligibility, timelines, and next steps
Team Culture & Leadership

Lead culture-building initiatives

Set standards and expectations that reflect program values

Hockey Alberta is the third largest provincial branch of Hockey Canada, and is the acting governing body for amateur hockey in the province of Alberta ranging from the levels of minor hockey to senior hockey including the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Hockey Alberta has approximately 450 member organizations representing more than 90,000 participants. All players are coached, officiated and developed through certification courses, programs, education and training provided through Hockey Alberta..
Hockey Alberta is a volunteer driven organization with more than 500 volunteers involved in different roles from the Board of Directors to committees, councils and program areas.
Hockey Alberta's main office is located in Red Deer, at Red Deer College. In addition, Hockey Alberta operates five Regional Centre offices, with locations in Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge and Lloydminster.
