Schedule Planner
Nellson, a leading North American manufacturer of nutritional bars and powders, is seeking a passionate Schedule Planner to actively contribute to its mission and support the growth of its operations.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will play a key role to fill staffing needs to meet weekly and daily production, maintenance, quality, and logistics requirements. In addition, in collaboration with the Training Coordinator and production supervisors, you will participate in the planning, organization, and monitoring of training and qualifications for unionized staff. The Schedule Planner is also responsible for closing the weekly timesheet process for unionized employees, and be the department's point of contact for daily and weekly timesheet management.
Responsibilities
- Creation and management of the bi-weekly schedule for unionized employees, ensuring optimal coverage for each shift;
- Processing, verifying, and closing all timesheets in a timely manner;
- Understanding and application of all current collective agreements;
- Creation and management of vacation schedules for all unionized and non-unionized employees;
- Daily and weekly monitoring of the time and attendance system in ADP;
- In collaboration with the Training Coordinator, monitoring the training plan and maintaining the skills matrix by position and shift, as well as recording and updating unionized employees' training files;
- Managing HR-related documents: opening and modifying files, leave requests, vacation changes, etc.;
- Providing adequate weekly availability for communications and contact with the various shifts;
- Maintain effective and ongoing communication with supervisors, managers, employees, and union representatives;
- Participate in the integration of new staff: monitor training, update files, coordinate required equipment (boots, uniforms, PPE, etc.);
- Perform any other related tasks related to human resources activities.
Required profile
- Bilingual: French and English
- Work schedule: From Monday to Friday, 7h30-15h00, and be able to work only one day per week from 6h00-14h30 or 12h00-20h00
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a related position such as an HR administrative officer, scheduler, payroll etc.
- DEC in administration or human resources, or a related field
- Very good command of Microsoft software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Teamwork, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills of a human resources professional
