The location in Fort Mill, (South Carolina, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Sr Manager, Reliability. This job is full-time permanent.

Overview: Reporting to the Director, Reliability, the Senior Managers, Reliability will be part of the corporate reliability team and responsible for driving the implementation of improved work processes in the mills, at the mill manager and senior leadership team levels, that will impact reliability. The key processes typically implemented are planning, scheduling, shutdown management, materials management, root cause problem elimination, preventive maintenance, lubrication, condition monitoring and precision maintenance skills. The specialist will also work with key supporting tools to enable better work processes, for example vibration monitoring, motor testing, SAP, ultrasonic testing, infrared thermography, loop testing, DMSI, and much much more.

Your challenges:
The senior manager will be managing projects within the scope of Reliability including:

  • Driving Implementation of mill initiatives for reliability and maintenance across eleven mills and possibly a few converting facilities.

    • Facilitation and teaching root cause problem elimination
    • Coaching the documentation, execution, and follow-up of Preventive Maintenance & Condition Monitoring practices
    • Evaluation of precision maintenance skills
    • Driving the improvement of daily/ weekly work management practices
    • Managing improvement of shutdown/outage management and budget follow-up.
    • Assisting in materials management optimization
    • Supporting technical information improvement for Bill of Materials, drawing updates, operations-and-maintenance manuals.
    • Coaching the contractor management process in mills.
    • Advising and facilitating the management of regulatory inspections.
  • Enabling the set-up and use of SAP Plant Maintenance

  • Assessing the mills’ current reliability and maintenance performance

  • Collaborating on corporate reliability strategy, tactics, and follow-up systems

  • Work with plant management to meet budgetary and reliability goals.

  • Inform and collaborate with vice presidents, Sr. vice president and Sr. Director, Performance Improvement.

Your skills:

  • Subject matter expert in reliability.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Experience in influencing people in plants.

  • Ability to communicate succinctly with diplomacy.

  • Effective communication abilities

  • Ability to produce and deliver presentations to senior management.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

  • 7-10 years of experience in reliability and maintenance.

  • Lean six-sigma certification.

  • CMRP, EFNMS Management, or CAMA Certification

  • Functional knowledge of written/oral French language

  • Consulting experience
