The Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Internal Communications will lead the strategy and delivery of internal communications across Wajax. Reporting to the CPO, this role is responsible for collaborating across the business to develop and execute an integrated internal communications strategy that aligns employees to business priorities, strengthens culture, and supports organizational change.
The Role

Internal Communications Strategy – Develop and evolve a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned to corporate priorities, business objectives and people initiatives. Define messaging frameworks, communication principles and channel strategies.

Executive & Leadership Communications – Partner with the Chief People Officer, CEO and senior leaders to develop high-impact communications including town halls, leadership updates, organizational announcements and key change messaging.

Change & Transformation Communications – Design and execute communication plans that support enterprise initiatives, organizational changes and transformation programs. Ensure clarity, consistency and alignment across regions and business units.

Content Development & Channel Management – Oversee the creation and distribution of internal communications across multiple channels (e.g., intranet, email, video, leadership forums). Maintain editorial standards and ensure messaging is aligned and audience-focused and consistent with brand guidelines owned by the Marketing team.

Employee Engagement & Culture – Support culture-building initiatives through storytelling and communications that reinforce company values and people experience priorities.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement – Establish metrics to evaluate communication effectiveness and use these insights to refine messaging, channels and approaches.

Standards – Establish internal communications guidelines, templates and approval processes to drive consistency and quality across the organization.
The Candidate
Education: University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
Work Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, corporate communications or related field including experience developing enterprise-wide communication strategies and experience supporting executive-level communications and change initiatives. Experience in multi-site, industrial, manufacturing or B2B environments considered an asset
Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex information into clear concise messaging. Experience with digital communication platforms. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills. Bilingual in French strongly preferred.

Compensation:
Base pay $110,000.00-$125,000.00 per annum plus an Annual Incentive Bonus. Pay may vary based on skills, expertise, and performance, and is a component of the total rewards package.
