Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Scope:
The Maintenance Coordinator is an integral member of our Maintenance Operations for the Guelph and Delta facilities. You will play a key role in our overall operation by applying your improvement minded, systems and organizational abilities to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of our Preventative Maintenance program. You will routinely be present in the Operations and Maintenance areas to ensure a strong understanding of the process which you will support.
You will require the ability to juggle multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment and manage a high level of detail in the PM system administration, including support to the purchasing of parts and maintenance supplies, inventory control and report configuration & generation. You have a safety-first mentality, understand the value of working as part of a team, and enjoy the challenge of a high-demand role.
You report to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate closely with the Maintenance Supervisors and Millwrights, as well as Plant Operations Leaders to drive productivity and efficiencies within your span of influence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assessing work order for completeness and compliance and advising the Maintenance Supervisor and Manager
- Act as a liaison for Maintenance department when dealing with suppliers and contractors.
- Administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all modules, including equipment, tasks, etc.
- Ensure equipment is properly identified and labeled with MP2 Asset #s
- Provide application and training support to maintenance and other team members on CMMS
- Coordinate the daily assigned work order prioritization and preventative maintenance scheduling
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor &/or Manager, with regards to equipment audits, preventative maintenance program development.
- Ensure all equipment are implemented on PM; assume responsibility of ongoing program care.
- Provide support to development and improvement in administration of maintenance purchasing process, including quotations, requisitions, purchase orders, receipts and preparing completed packages for accounts payable department
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve maintenance administration functions
- Work order processing administration, including generation, input and historical maintenance of equipment history and related to KPIs, and to communicate with other departments as required
- Generate KPIs or reports as required
- Attend prescribed courses and training as required
Skills & Competencies
- Must possess two (2) years post-secondary education, or recognized professional designation in a technical discipline
- Minimum two (2) years experience as Maintenance Coordinator or working within a maintenance parts department
- Working experience in a food environment considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to follow established nomenclature and standard formatting for new records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritize in a constantly changing environment and demonstrated openness to improvements in process
- Solid proficiency in working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Background experience working in CMMS, especially MP2, considered an asset
- Sound mechanical and electrical aptitude, knowledge of standard maintenance practices and procedures
- Capable of performing physical demands of the job (occasional lifting up 25 lbs)
