The Director – Account Management will be responsible for the account management function across sites as it relates to existing and new Global Excel Canada Region corporate clients. Your responsibilities will include ensuring client satisfaction, retention, service levels, operational efficiency, and account profitability. As a Director – Account Management, you will also be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships both internally and externally, to facilitate effective execution of areas of responsibilities.
What are the main responsibilities?
- Leading the development and implementation of a cross-site strategy for Account Management;
- Establishing global service standards for Account Management;
- Developing a good knowledge of clients in the assigned market segment with regards to their ownership structures, risk models and complexity of product offerings;
- Ensuring clients receive timely reporting regarding the activities and results of their books of business;
- Ensuring key client account inquiries are addressed proactively and efficiently;
- Conducting analysis, identifying risks, benefits, as well as making approved recommendations that support GEM's priorities in a sustainable, measurable and cost-effective manner;
- Setting team business objectives and supporting leadership in building their professional development goals and monitoring performance;
- Ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined for direct reports and overseeing the balance of workload between team members;
- Working with Vice President - Strategic Partnerships to understand changing business requirements and projected growth;
- Responsible for departmental budgeting as well as and monitoring of team staffing forecasts.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- University degree or equivalent experience;
- 10 years of relevant industry knowledge;
- Minimum of 1 year of management experience;
- 5 years of client management experience;
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate;
- Strong ability to coach and mentor others;
- Strong risk assessment and decision-making skills;
- Negotiation skills with ability to resolve conflict situations;
- Available for travel as needed to achieve business goals.
