not-for-profit, product stewardship corporation with beverage container management as our core
business. Our mandate is to develop, manage and improve systems to recover used beverage containers
and end-of-life products from consumers and ensure that they are properly recycled and not land-filled
or incinerated. Encorp's evolving collection network consists of 180+ Return-It collection locations
across BC.
Job Overview
Encorp is seeking a dynamic and organized Human Resources Coordinator to support a wide range of HR
functions including recruitment, onboarding, training development, benefits administration, and HR
reporting. This role reports into the Human Resources Manager and works closely with the Payroll
Administrator to ensure the smooth execution of HR operations and programs.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating recruitment processes, supporting
employee onboarding and engagement initiatives, assisting with HR systems and reporting, and
contributing to special HR projects that improve processes and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Coordinate recruitment activities including drafting job descriptions, posting internal and
external job opportunities, and managing job advertisements. -
Screen applications and resumes and coordinate interviews with the HR Manager and hiring
managers. -
Schedule interviews and manage candidate communications.

Conduct reference checks and initiate background checks for selected candidates.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
-
Support onboarding processes for new employees, ensuring completion of required
documentation and orientation activities. -
Assist in creating and maintaining onboarding materials and processes.
Training & Development
-
Assist in creating and maintaining virtual HR training courses and learning modules.
-
Support the development and implementation of Learning Management System (LMS)
initiatives. -
Coordinate internal HR workshops and training sessions with external facilitators.
HR Operations & Administration
-
Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries related to benefits programs.
-
Maintain HR records and assist with initiatives such as digitizing HR documentation.
-
Prepare HR and payroll-related reports and assist with HR analytics as required.
Payroll & Timekeeping Support
-
Assist with monitoring timesheets and payroll processes.
-
Provide coverage and support for payroll duties during the Payroll Administrator’s absence.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
-
Conduct HR research and assist with projects such as:
o HR records digitization
o 360-degree performance review programs
o HRIS/LMS implementation and optimization -
Identify opportunities for process improvement and bring potential solutions to the HR
Manager. -
Duties and responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Minimum 2+ years of Human Resources and/or recruitment experience.
-
Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
-
Familiarity with HCM/HRIS systems.
-
Ability to independently research HR issues and propose solutions to management.
-
Event coordination or project management experience is an asset.
-
CPHR BC candidate or designation considered an asset.
-
Administrative experience considered an asset.
-
Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Competencies & Skills

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Strong problem-solving and research skills.
Compensation
-
Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per year
-
Discretionary Performance bonus: 5%
Work Schedule
-
37.5 hours a week
-
Monday to Friday from 8am – 4pm
-
In office Monday – Wednesday and option to work from home Thursday – Friday.
