Position Summary

The customer service representative provides sales and customer service to build, maintain and retain clients. The customer service representative has the responsibility of inputting and organizing orders as well as tracking shipments. Assists with client account management and after sale services.

Responsibilities

• Handles sales desk calls.
• Prepares and sends quotes, price pages and communications.
• Receives and processes orders by inputting them into the system.
• Organize and tracks shipment for time and cost efficiency, shipping documents and tracks invoices.
• Ensures after sales service by following up, deals with customer matters and answer inquiries.
• Client account management through order changes, credits, adjustments and returns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and customer service experience.
• Experience in the lumber or construction industry is a strong asset.
• Proficiency in English, spoken and written.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem solving, prioritization and conflict resolution skills.
• Maintain positive and enthusiastic attitude even in adverse situations.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Demonstrates respect for coworkers and customers.
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
• Time and stress management.
• Able to adapt to various circumstances, while keeping focus on goals.
• Lumber and building product knowledge, an asset.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• SAP experience is an asset.
