Here’s the job opportunity…
You will be responsible to plan and execute audit engagements under the supervision of the Chief Internal Auditor. This may involve conducting risk assessments, developing audit workpapers, establishing criteria for evaluating control design and operating effectiveness, setting the testing approach and executing, as well as documenting tests in accordance with Global Internal Audit Standards, ivari’s audit methodology, and regulatory expectations. The individual may also be involved in assisting with the drafting of various reports.
You will…
- Lead and participate in audit engagements, regulatory reviews, and special projects
- Conduct risk assessments, determine audit scope, audit approach, assessment criteria, and test steps
- Manage document requests and document process flows based on staff walkthroughs
- Assess controls against established criteria to opine on design and operating effectiveness
- Document completed audit work with appropriate levels of detail and conclusions
- Supervise outsourced audit services to ensure comprehensive scope coverage and high-quality standards
- Prepare reports on audit results and making recommendations for improving the control environment
- Work closely with auditees to monitor the status of management’s corrective actions
- Document audit action closure
- Assist in regulatory audits or inquiries, where required
- Participate in quality assurance reviews
What we are looking for…
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience within Internal Audit or a similar control-function at a large, global financial service institution or within a large public accounting firm
- Relevant professional certification such as a CPA/ACCA/CFA, or nearing completion
- Internal Audit certification (e.g. CIA, CISA) preferred
- Experience in the insurance industry preferred
- Solid understanding of Global Internal Audit Standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Tactful, able to interface with all levels of management
- Strong team building, leadership and project management skills
