About the role

CanCap Group Inc. (“CanCap”) is part of privately-owned Canadian national financial services company with multiple verticals across automotive, consumer, and merchant lending portfolios. We manage the entire lifecycle of the finance receivable from credit adjudication through to contract administration, customer service, default management and post charge-off recoveries. CanCap works with Automobile Dealer Partners to help clients finance the purchase of new and used vehicles.

What your day could look like: Reporting to the Income and Funding Manager, a Income Analyst plays an essential role in mitigating risk by verifying and validating consumer information specific to their affordability to repay this loan. This includes:

  • Income Queues: Review and assess submitted income verification documentation for authenticity and capacity to service requested loan.
  • Trustee Calls/Creditor Package Reviews
  • Income Inbox – monitor for received documents, rush requests and inquiries (as assigned)
  • Phone Calls – handle inbound calls from Dealers and Employers, as well as make outbound calls to applicant employers.
  • Portal Notes – should be responded to as encountered while working through files, or on files that are forwarded to the income inbox by Credit (Credit/Inside Sales are responsible to monitor notes). Sending updates to Dealers as needed regarding the progress on the income verification.
  • Referrals – Should be reviewed and addressed as received (or when assigned)
  • Index faxes as needed

What you bring:

  • One to three years income verification. An ideal for a candidate in early career stages.
  • Investigative nature with an appetite to find the truth.
  • Strong attention to detail and easily picks out inconsistencies.
  • Analytical and comfortable with math.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Outstanding ability build rapport over the telephone.
  • A commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Motivation and drive towards continuous learning and growth within your role and the company.
  • Dependability and self-motivation.
  • Upbeat and results-oriented team contributions.
